I know it’s been awhile since my last post, I’m sorry. Two weeks ago I landed a new job, and have been adjusting to my new schedule, while having the time of my life ever since.

Over the past several months I have interviewed with countless companies, turned down two job offers that were not right for me, and finally, landed my dream job.

I accepted a Web Manager position with an online yarn retailer called Yarnmarket. Yarnmarket has numerous Websites that need managed, and a plethora of new Web projects for me to tackle. The past two weeks I have been working on an online fashion magazine for knitters called Knitch. It’s so much fun that I can’t believe I’m getting paid to do it!

A new MacBook Pro, Adobe Creative Suite 4, wonderful upper management and flexibility that allows me to telecommute most days makes this the job I’ve been dreaming about for months. I’m so thrilled to finally have access to the professional software I need to accomplish designs that were not possible before. Flash animated banners, here I come!

You’re probably thinking that all this fun can’t last forever, and maybe you’re right. But right now I’m so excited to wake up and get to work each day that I can’t imagine the feeling fading anytime soon.

All of this recent job euphoria led me to wonder any of you have the same preference for working environments as I do. So please share. What is your ideal job and/or work environment, and why?
